Jerry Calvin “J.C.” Daniel, 78, of Chattanooga, and formerly of Higdon, Alabama, died early Monday morning, May 2, 2016.
Mr. Daniel was retired from Culligan Water Conditioning after 36 years of service, then owning and operating Daniel Water Equipment and Service for 15 years.
Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lula Mae Daniel; one sister, Dorthy Marie Harris Prince; and one granddaughter, Krystie Lynn Daniel.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joyce Daniel of Chattanooga; son, Ricky Daniel of Ringgold, GA; daughter Donna ( James) Horton of Higdon, AL and April Long of Cleveland, TN and son-in-law Ed (Shonda) Long of Trenton, GA; grandchildren, Michael Horton, Johnathon (Emily) Horton, Melissa (Chris) Wooten, Holly Daniel, Arron Perry, Amanda Daniel, Kevin Free, Amber (Daniel) Weller, Ricky A. (Emily) Daniel, Heavynne and Hannaha Daniel, Jordan, Erik and Katie Long, 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family members.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. on Wednesday May 4, in the chapel with Rev. Keith Stanford and Frankie Carroll officiating. Mr. Daniel will be laid to rest in Browns Gap Cemetery by pallbearers Johnathon Horton, Ricky A. Daniel, Chris Wooten, Michael Horton, Don Cole, and James Horton.
