Thomas Rhett & Chris Lane brought out the young ladies in hot pants and cowboy boots, but the Stooges Brass Band brought out the party crowd, showing Chattanooga how to do it New Orleans style. The Unum Stage rocked it last night, with three great acts.

I don’t usually watch many of the Coca-Cola acts – I am more of a side stage kind of guy. However, Riverbend has Blood, Sweat & Tears, featuring Bo Bice at 6:30 p.m. on the Coke Stage tonight, and I will not miss that show. They had so many hits – You Made Me So Very Happy, Spinning Wheel, And When I Die, Hi-De-Ho, Lucretia McEvil, Go Down Gamblin’, and Got To Get You Into My Life, just to name a few. With three Gold records and two Platinum albums, this show should be a great sing-along, full of top hits. Bo Bice is an excellent front man for the band, and does a great job on the vocals that David Clayton Thomas did so well.

Heart Follows BS&T at 9:30. With nine Platinum albums and a slew of Gold ones, sisters Ann & Nancy Wilson can still rock with the best of them. This show will be packed, so get there early for a good viewpoint.

The Bud Light Stage will also be rocking tonight, as local faves “Mighty Sideshow” take the stage at 6 p.m. and Get The LED Out, a very popular Led Zeppelin tribute band, makes their return to Riverbend after a few years. 8:00-9:30 p.m.

The Unum Stage features the Courtney Holder band at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 70’s sensations “Ambrosia”. As you listen to Ambrosia, you will immediately recognize many of their songs. In a rare public appearance, Bruce Cooter & The Tone Daddies make their Riverbend debut at 9:30 p.m.

The TVFCU Stage has Stacy Wilson & The Band Raven on stage at 6:15, followed by Ft. Payne’s Russell Gulley Band. Local Blues legend Husky Burnette closes out the night at 9:15 p.m.

The Chevy Stage offers a variety of music tonight, as Pains Chapel opens at 6:00 p.m., followed by Ogya World Music Band at 7:30 p.m.

My pick of the day? I have to go with Blood, Sweat & Tears, featuring Bo Bice. This should be a great show. As an alternative, I say go pick one of the fine local bands and enjoy them.

Don’t forget to scan your wristband with your barcode reader on your cell-phone. That will automatically register you to win a new $19,000 camper from Dunlap RV.
