Creative Discovery Museum Hosts Folk And Traditional Arts Festival June 25-26

  • Monday, June 13, 2016
This summer, Creative Discovery Museum will take a cultural journey around the world - no passport required. The inaugural Folk and Traditional Arts Festival allows children and their families to experience a diverse array of art and music from different cultures presented by local and regional talent.

"This festival will celebrate a sample of the different cultural art forms practiced in our city and surrounding areas," said Liza Blair, Arts manager.

"Guests will also learn to appreciate how art brings all cultures together despite our differences.
Many of the performances will allow children to interact with the artists and encourage audience participation," officials said.

All performances are included with Museum admission. Funding for the festival is provided through grant support from the Tennessee Arts Commission and ArtsBuild.

For more information or any questions, contact Liza Blair at llb@cdmfun.org or 423-648-6069.
