Sheriff's Deputies Involved In Vehicle Pursuit On Highway 153; Suspect Apprehended On Multiple Felony Warrants

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were involved on Wednesday morning in a short vehicle pursuit on Highway 153 near the area of Northgate Mall.
 
For the past several days, sheriff deputies and Chattanooga Police Department officers had been looking for Dominique Dyshawn Tucker, 24, a suspect wanted for active felony warrants and a noted person of interest by other law enforcement agencies.  
 
Tucker was seen driving on Highway 153 by a deputy. The deputy attempted to pull Tucker’s vehicle over, at which time he failed to stop and the short pursuit ensued. Tucker’s vehicle traveled down Highway 153 and entered the Northgate Mall parking lot.

Deputies were able to stop the vehicle using a patrol unit and Tucker then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A short foot pursuit ensued and Tucker was eventually tased in an effort to gain compliance. He was apprehended behind one of the buildings.
 
Tucker also had a juvenile in the vehicle with him who was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS for medical review.
 
Tucker is wanted for several active felony warrants and was taken to the Hamilton County Jail. He will also be booked on new charges stemming from Wednesday’s events.
