CAHEA To Host 22nd Conference In Chattanooga June 27-30

  • Friday, June 17, 2016

The Christian Adult Higher Education Association is a diverse group of Christian Higher Education organizations and individuals promoting the awareness of educating adult students. CAHEA will host their 22nd annual conference at The Chattanoogan Hotel June 27-30. The theme this year is “Staying on Track to the Future”.

The General Session keynote speaker will be Dr. Brenda Harms, with Harms Consulting. Dr. Harms has done extensive research and reporting on adult student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and retention trends within higher education. She is considered an expert among her peers and attendees will have two opportunities to hear her speak as she is the opening and closing general session speaker. When asked what does it means to stay on track as it relates to adult education, Dr. Harms replied, “The idea of ‘staying on track’ in the adult student market translates into an ongoing willingness to continue to evolve, expand, try new things, and learn”.

In addition to the general sessions, CAHEA conferences also include a wide variety of concurrent sessions designed to meet the needs and interests in all areas of Christian Adult Higher Education.
Representatives from companies specializing in marketing, recruitment, web content, social networking, higher education professional development, strategic enrollment planning, academic publishing, and more will have exhibits available during the conference.

The host schools this year are Lee University and Belhaven University.
