PV Design To Have Grand Opening At Remodeled Cooper's Office Supply On Cherry Street

  • Friday, June 17, 2016

PV Design, established in 2014 by Craig Peavy, will re-open at 719 Cherry St., the historic Cooper’s Office Supply building, after renovating and expanding the space with the firm’s own design and team.

Craig Peavy said, "PV Design is owned and employs local architects with 30 years combined experience, all with a commitment to design-inspired architecture that not only meets clients’ goals but makes places that improve the urban fabric.  PV Design will continue to provide full architectural services, delivering environmentally responsible projects, and operating with passion for the craft.

"We have several projects that are currently under construction or recently completed that are examples of our commitment to improving our community through strong urban design principles:

-          The Edwin Hotel at Walnut Street Bridge

-          Jax Liquor on Market Street

-          The Block Exterior Climbing wall with High Point Climbing

-          The Northshore Apartments at Cherokee and Manufacturer’s

-          719 Cherry Street"

The renovation of the 719 Cherry Street Building was done as a partnership of PV Design and Haskel Sears in a design build format.

Mr. Peavy said, "This architect/master builder combination were able to explore the use of reclaimed materials that were found in the building during the renovation.  This creative use of materials and methods have allowed this space to be one of the most unique adaptive use projects that Chattanooga has seen to date. This is certainly a building that you will want to come and see for yourself."

A ribboncutting will be July 15 at 3 p.m.
