CFC Women Fall To Memphis 3-1

CFC Men Host Birmingham Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

  • Friday, June 17, 2016

Chattanooga FC women took an early lead 1-0 lead Friday night at Finley Stadium against Memphis Lobos but the visitors would score three second half goals to take the 3-1 win.

Memphis improves to 5-0 on the season and the CFC women drop to 2-3.

The women will play another home game on Tuesday as they host Knoxville Force.

The CFC men's team takes a 6-0 NPSL record into Saturday's home game against the Birmingham Hammers.

A win Saturday will help the team get one step closer to not only making the NPSL playoffs, but earning the right to host the NPSL playoffs, which would be a huge advantage for the club.

"This is the point in the season where we can really begin the to see how important our depth is.

If we hope to make the playoffs we must show well tomorrow. Coach Elliott has the guys prepared and focused." said Sean McDaniel, GM of Chattanooga FC. "Birmingham played us very tight at their place early in the season and we expect more of the same tomorrow."

Tickets for Saturday night's match are available online at Chattanoogafc.com for $7.00, and at the door for $9.00. Gates will open at 6:30, kickoff is at 7:30.
