10th Annual Brainerd High School Alumni Weekend Is Friday-Sunday

  • Monday, June 20, 2016

The Brainerd High School Alumni Association will host their 10th Annual BHS Alumni Weekend Friday-Sunday.  The purpose of this Alumni Weekend serves as a fundraiser for the BHSAA Scholarship Fund and other funding priorities for BHS.  Also, it is a membership kick-off drive ($25 per year) for the BHSAA.

This weekend has become a “reunion” of all BHS Classes for ‘60’s – present.  The goal is to raise $25,000 during the weekend.

The main event, the BHSAA Family Cookout, is Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the front lawn of BHS.  Thirty-three classes have reserved their tent for this event.  All classes are asked to come prepared to make a donation to the BHSAA Scholarship Fund.

There will be other social events held throughout the weekend sponsored by various classes.  Visit “Alumni of Brainerd High School Facebook” page for details.

Since 2007, the BHSAA has invested over $82,000 back into BHS.  BHSAA has awarded 40 $1,000 scholarships, provided two $500 scholarships to evening school graduates, purchased a digital sign in front of the school, furnished a reading lab for students to improve their reading skills, and provided financial support to Orchard Knob Middle and Dalewood Middle Schools.

BHS Alums, who would like to make a tax-deductible donation, make a check payable to the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, Inc. and in the memo section of ther check put BHSAA Scholarship Fund and remit to the address below:
