Bradley County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Cleveland Police Department has coordinated the funeral procession for Bradley Central High School student Jace Taylor from Clingan Ridge Baptist Church to Lee Cemetery on Thursday.

He died over the weekend due to what a school chaplain called "a freak accident." The Bradley County Sheriff's Office was investigating the death.

His obituary says, "Jace was a member of the Bradley Central High School class of 2018 and a key member of the Bradley Central Football team. He played guard and he was well loved by everyone on the team and by everyone that knew him. Jace was known for being a prankster and a jokester, and his “Golden Locks” will never be forgotten. He loved anything involving water, especially fishing and wakeboarding with family and friends. For his friends, he was the guy who could make a bad day good in a moment. In addition to being a Bradley Bear Forever, he was an avid Auburn Tigers fan. Most of all, he was known for his love for his family, never failing to tell them he loved them daily. He had an even greater love for his Lord Jesus Christ, and he was baptized at City Church, where he was a member. Jace was so loving that even in his passing, he chose to give life to others, so his legacy lives on."

The procession will incorporate traveling through the campus of Bradley Central High School. The procession will pause briefly in front of the football field to commemorate his role on the Bradley Bears football team.

Students from Bradley Central High School in addition to citizens from the Cleveland/Bradley County area are encouraged to gather in the football field’s parking lot to pay their respect to Jace Taylor. There will be a series of events that will take place on the football field during the processional’s intermission.

The procession will travel from Clingan Ridge Baptist Church on Georgetown Rd. to Lee Cemetery on S. Lee. Highway. Individuals should gather in the football field’s parking lot at 2:30 p.m.

Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Nakoma Garrett, J.R. Ivey, Tucker Bentley, Matt Bentley, Chad Nicholson, Chris Watson, Colt Wyatt, and Cam Brown serving as pallbearers.
