Market Street Mile And Ruby Dress Dash Benefits AHA And Go Red For Women

Presented by Chattanooga Track Club and sponsored by Ruby Falls, the Market Street Mile and Ruby Dress Dash, benefiting the Chattanooga American Heart Association and Go Red for Women, will be held at the Big River Grille on Broad Street on Saturday, July 9, starting at 6:30 a.m.

"The Market Street Mile and Ruby Dress Dash in Downtown Chattanooga is an event on a flat, fast, certified 1 mile course. People of all ages are encouraged to wear a red dress or red running gear to support the Chattanooga American Heart Association and Go Red for Women.

"Participants will be given an event t-shirt and awards will be given out for best dressed male and female after the conclusion of the Ruby Dress Dash. Stick around after the race for post-race refreshments," officials said.

Event highlights include: a chance to win male and female best dressed prize; awards will be given to the top three female and male finishers in each age category; live radio remote with Sunny 92.3; and refreshments from Kona Ice and Spill the Beans.
