Charles Walling, 78, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died on Friday, June 24, 2016.
He was a lifetime member of Bledsoe County Rescue Squad. One of Charles' favorite pastimes was fishing. Charles worked as constable for the Bledsoe County Sheriff Department for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vicie Roberts Walling; son, Charles Howard Walling; and sisters, Opal Myers and Katherine Newby.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Kenneth) Pruitt, Spring City; son, Michael (Pam) Walling, Collegedale; grandchildren, Michael, Jr.(Stephanie) Walling, Charles Logan (Kara) Walling, Justin and Shawn Thomas; great-grandchildren, Alyssah Walling, Oaklee Thomas, and Ransley Walling; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday June 27 at 3 p.m. CDT at the West End Church of God with Bro. Danny Lee officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Swafford, Bill Campbell, Marlin Walker, Mickey Swanger, Camden Walker and Jimmy Reed.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time.
