Reba Edwards
Reba “Bit” Edwards, 86, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 in a local hospital.
She attended Chattanooga Public Schools. At an early age she united with Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church. She worked and retired from Memorial Hospital.
She was one of six children born to the union of Cleveland Sr. and Essie Few Edwards on June 8, 1930 in Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rosetta Edwards and Sarah Vaughn; three brothers, Nathaniel, Cleveland and Alphonso Edwards.
She leaves to cherish with unforgettable memories, two sons, Leon and Robert Edwards of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, in the Chapel with Pastor Carolos Williams officiating.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday, July 5, the family will receive friends from 7–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
