John “Doodley” Allen White, 77, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends.
Doodley was an avid golfer and hunter. He was a truck driver for Dixie Color in LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard White; mother, Sarah Stewart Sprayberry; and son, John Kerry White.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Brown White; daughter, Amanda (Will) Beyer; sons, Jeff (Rhonda) White, Richie White, Mark (Andrea) White and Robert (Kristy) White; sister, Eileen Kitchens; brother, Terry “Sunshine” White; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral at the LaFayette First Baptist Church will be Thursday, June 30 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Todd Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Billy Mullinax, Max Morrison, Stanley Ledbetter, Ed Trammell, Dave Gilbert, and Wayne Swanson. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Starks, Will Dendy, Jimmy Dendy, Bill Crey, Mike Sauceman, John Stanley, Norm Hodge, David Cunningham, Eddie Jackson, Chad Jackson, Buddy Chapman, Byron Chapman, Donny Peppers, Don Richie, Jerry Carroll, Jerry Day, Charles Bomar, Eric Steelman and P.D. Fortune.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 29 from 5-9 p.m.
