Evelyn Doris Parks, 81, of Soddy Daisy, died on Monday, June 27, 2016 at her residence.

A native of Riceville, Tn., she lived in Soddy Daisy since 2006. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith. She worked in civil service for the military for 15 years where she received an award for outstanding character from the U.S. Army. A very giving person, she spent all her time making things for others including crafts, clothes and quilts. Evelyn was the glue that held her family together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Susie “Mama Sue” Green; brother, Kenneth Green and grandson, Eric Render. 

Survivors include her daughters, Diane Walker (Ronnie) and Renee Fairclough; sons, Eddie Phillips (Jamie) and Curtis Phillips (Tina); brother, Charles Green (Wanda); sister, Muriel Green Lomenick; grandchildren, Lisa Gaines, Tony Espy, Trina Clinton, Christopher Dunn, Carrie-Ann Rogers and Erin Walker; great grandchildren, Courtney Gaines, Zach Clinton, Alex Clinton, Charity Espy, Blake Rogers and Aiden Rogers; great great grandson, Jameson Gaines; several nieces and nephews and her beloved baby, Trixie. 

Services will be held at a later date.
