The Spice & Tea Exchange Coming To Hamilton Corner

  • Wednesday, June 29, 2016

The Spice & Tea Exchange will offer more than 140 spices, over 80 exclusive hand-mixed blends, 16 naturally-flavored sugars, an array of salts from around the world, and more than 30 exotic teas. Owners, Mike and Diane Tobin relocated from Vermont to open the store here in Chattanooga.  They fell in love with the Hamilton Corner location, with its diverse upscale stores and easy access off Gunbarrel Road.

The new store will employ up to 5 employees and will immerse Chattanooga home cooks, chefs, and tea lovers in an old-world spice traders’ atmosphere. Owner Diane Tobin added “Many people don’t realize that spices lose flavor over time.  We hand mix blends in-store to ensure the very best quality.  For people with special dietary concerns, we are also able to custom blend to meet their needs.”

Upon entering, guests will be immediately immersed in a sensory experience where they can explore, open the jars and smell, and speak with knowledgeable staff who truly love what they do.  Construction has begun on the 1050 square foot space, located near Jason’s Deli.
