WTCI Celebrates The Memory Of Legendary Coach Pat Summit In "The A List With Alison Lebovitz" Broadcast Thursday At 8 P.M.

  • Thursday, June 30, 2016
WTCI will present an encore broadcast of “The A List with Alison Lebovitz” featuring the legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt on Thursday at 8 p.m.  This episode originally aired in 2010, prior to Summitt’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and is a lively conversation with the legendary NCAA coach about her career and life.

Ms. Lebovitz asked Coach Summitt about the placard in her locker room that read, ‘Perfection is our goal. Excellence will be tolerated.’  Recalling the episode, Ms.
Lebovitz said, “She didn't deny it. She also tried to teach me how to master her infamous 'stare' and was quick to remind me that it's only effective when you don't talk. Such a fitting lesson from a woman whose parting leaves so many of us speechless today. May her memory forever be a blessing.”

"The A List with Alison Lebovitz" is a one-on-one weekly interview series that features local and national personalities.  Hosted by Ms. Lebovitz, this series is entering its eighth season and has featured both local and national celebrities, including Ken Burns, Ben Vereen and Senator Bob Corker.
