Youth Panel To Give Insight During FTF's The Impact Of A Father

First Things First’s six-­week community conversation, The Impact of a Father, is coming to a close with two sessions left in the series. This week a panel of youth with varying backgrounds and experiences who will add to this ongoing conversation from their perspective about the correlation between father involvement and a child’s well-­being.  

“This is a diverse group of young adults," said Todd Agne, senior fathering coordinator at First Things First.  "Some have had a great deal of influence from their father or father ­figure while others have had little to none. Our goal for this week is to hear first­ hand the difference a dad makes.” 

Speakers in the series so far have included Judge Robert D. Philyaw (current Hamilton County Juvenile Court judge), Dr. Charles Mitchell (assistant principal of Brainerd High School), Chief Fred Fletcher (police chief of Chattanooga Police Department) and Bryan Spillman (College Life Area Director for Younglife).

The youth panel will be held Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 a.m. at First Things First.  The last session will be June 15 with former general manager of the Buffalo Bills, Buddy Nix.
