Man Involved In Crash On Shallowford Road Last Thursday Dies

A man who was critically injured in a head-on crash on Shallowford Road last Thursday has died.

Chattanooga Police responded to the 4000 block of Shallowford Road on the report of the crash. There police located two vehicles.

Chattanooga Police traffic investigators determined that the driver of one vehicle, 34-year-old Derrick Bush, lost control of his vehicle while traveling east on Shallowford Road at the Moore Road intersection.

His vehicle entered into oncoming westbound traffic and was struck by another vehicle driven by Alma Carver, 63.

Ms. Carver was not injured.

Hamilton County EMS responded and transported Mr. Bush, who is head of housekeeping at the Convention Center, to Erlanger Hospital.

Police said he suffered from serious, life-threatening injuries.
