Columbus Sivels, Jr.
Columbus Sivels, Jr., 79, died on June 30, 2016, in a local hospital.
He retired from U.S. Pipe after 40 years of service.
He was a faithful member of Stephen Temple CPCA Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Denise Sivels, Olivia (James) Pratt, Debra Ann Stewart, Collen Sivels and Wanda (Kevin) Moore, all of Chattanooga; three sisters-in-law, Willena Nunn, Irma Jean Sivels, of Chattanooga, Francis Kirklin of Houston; long-time companion, Rosie Lee Lewis; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 9, at Stephen Temple CPCA with Pastor Earnest Jefferson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, July 8, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
