Mark Macon, 53, of Guild, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
He was born on April 10, 1963 in Bryn Mawr, PA to Rodney and Joyce Macon. He served 16 years in the Army National Guard where he reached the rank of Sargeant. He served two tours of duty with the Red Dog seven platoon during Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was injured and honorably discharged.
He is survived by his children, Jenna Woody and her husband Shawn, John Mark Macon, Alannah Macon, Robert Kelly and Joey Macon and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Kai Macon and Kayden Macon; his girlfriend of 12 years, Jennifer Earls; brother, James Macon and his wife Cheryl; and several nieces and nephews.
During his lifetime he touched the lives of many people who became what he considered his extended family. He became a role model and father figure to many and a loving confidant to his children.
The remembrance of life will be held on Saturday, July 2, at his home located at 5961 Spring Place Road at 6 p.m.
