Milk & Honey was the winner in both categories, “Best Pure Flavor” for its Salted Caramel and “Best Flavor with Inclusions” for their Oreo Cheesecake.
The 12th annual Ice Cream Social at the Chattanooga Market was held on Sunday, allowing market-goers the chance to sample and vote for their favorite ice cream flavors.
Five local creameries, including Cold Stone Creamery, Clumpie’s Ice Cream, Mayfield, Milk & Honey, and The Ice Cream Show all participated in the annual fundraiser held at the Chattanooga Market to benefit Chambliss Center for Children. The Signal Mountain Boulevard Baskin Robbins was unable to participate this year, but is generously making a contribution to the agency.
After testing 10 different flavors, participants voted for their favorites in two categories, “Best Pure Flavor” and “Best Flavor with Inclusions”. The competition was very tight; however, coming out on top in both categories was Milk & Honey with its Salted Caramel as the “Best Pure Flavor” and Oreo Cheesecake as the “Best Flavor with Inclusions”.
“We are so grateful to these vendors for donating their time and products every year to benefit our agency,” said Lesley Berryhill, director of Communications for Chambliss Center for Children. “Because of their generosity and the community’s support of this event, we raised more than $6,500 that will go back in to our programs, furthering our ability to care for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
