Chattanooga FC Honors Fallen 5, Welcomes Dutch Lions In Playoffs On Saturday

  • Friday, July 15, 2016
After a thrilling victory last Saturday to clinch the Southeastern Conference Championship, Chattanooga FC welcomes Dutch Lions of Houston to Fort Finley this Saturday, at 7:30 p.m

Chattanooga FC will also be honoring the four Marines and one Sailor who lost their lives in Chattanooga one year ago with:

* A special edition CFC "#Noogastrong" T-shirt will be available to purchase for $20, 100% of the proceeds will go to the 7-16 Freedom Fund, which provides post secondary scholarships and pays expenses for the families of those affected by the 7/16 shooting in Chattanooga.

* Players, coaches, and fans are invited to participate in a moment of silence during the match

* Special graphics will be displayed on the Jumbotron honoring each of the Fallen Five soldiers
* Mayor Andy Berke will be speaking to the community just before kickoff at 7:30

"It's an important day for us, but a more important day for the city," said Sean McDaniel, GM for Chattanooga FC. "This is our home, and we want to honor the fallen Marines and sailor and demonstrate how we are a stronger community than ever before."

"Speaking about the game, Dutch Lions are a great team. They jumped up and surprised Tulsa Athletics last week, we need to make sure that we're fully prepared. Our starters are rested and ready to go, so we're hoping for a strong result."

Tickets for Saturday's match are $10 and available online at Chattanoogafc.com as well as at the ticket booth. Gates open at 6:30 p.m, and kickoff is at 7:30 p.m
