Robert Resch, 38, and Jason Parker, 38, were arrested after trying to break into 4530 Webb Road on Friday, police said.

Officers were advised that the two men were trying to get inside the residence with a large stick and a field knife with a 12-inch blade. The victim, Dori Beasley, 38, said after she told the suspects they could not come inside, she watched them take turns attempting to break in.

Ms. Beasley told police the defendants wanted a guitar and tent, which Parker’s wife—who was not on the scene—had in her possession. The victim said the men kept beating on the door and she was instructed by police dispatch to run and lock herself in a bedroom till officers arrived.

When police were on scene, they said Resch, who is currently on a revoked driver’s license, was attempting to leave in a vehicle. They also said they located the stick used to bang on the door inside the car, as well as an open container of Bud Ice.

Resch has been charged with aggravated burglary, open container law, and driving on revoked, suspended or cancelled license. Parker has been charged with aggravated burglary.
