Arrest Made In Shooting Of 2 People On Tunnel Boulevard On Saturday Night

Police have arrested 26-year-old Deonta Byrd for aggravated assault and felony reckless endangerment in connection with a shooting that left two people injured on Tunnel Boulevard on Saturday night.

 

Police say a fight broke out between Damieon Coonrod and Deonta Byrd.

During the fight Deonta Byrd fired a gun striking both Coonrod and Cornelia Byrd.

 

Both were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

 

Their injuries were not life-threatening.

 

Damieon Coonrod, 24, was shot three times in the leg and once n the buttocks.

 

Cornelia Byrd was shot in the leg.
