Tommy Taylor McAmis, 74, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN. A graduate of Bradley High School, he also served his country during the Vietnam War, as a sergeant in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Taylor McAmis; and his mother, Irene Edna Murray McAmis.
He is survived by his sister, Libbye Seivers; brother, Rusty (Mollie) McAmis; one nephew, Paul McAmis; three nieces, Kerri Rosenberger, Megan Cash and Elizabeth McAmis; several great-nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.
A celebration of life memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. on Saturday July 23 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.
The family will also be receiving friends from 1-3 p.m. service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Bradley County Veteran’s Home. Please contact the Bradley County Veteran’s Affairs office to do so.
