Robert William Leffew, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

He was beloved by his entire family, especially as a husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sandra Harwood Leffew; three daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Paolucci, Candace Leffew and Kristin Leffew; three grandchildren, Madeline Austin, A.J. Paolucci and Braden Paolucci; one brother, Roy (Leisa) Leffew; multiple nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Leffew, brother Ronnie Leffew and grandson Christian Leffew.

Bob was the foundation of his family and his greatest joy was spending time with them. Every lifetime event was celebrated together and he will deeply missed.

He worked for Harwood International as Vice-President of IT for over 30 years. He had a love for movies, good food, music and sports.  He was a lifelong baseball and Atlanta Braves fan. He brought his love of the sport into the community serving as commissioner of the Middle Valley Softball complex for many years and coaching each daughter and grandchild in both sports and in life, ethics and responsibility. In addition to baseball, his competitive nature made him hard to beat in softball and racquetball.

Bob was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Saint Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. With his wife Sandy, he helped found the World of Hope Tennessee - Isaiah 58 and served as President of the World of Hope Foundation for seven years. Their efforts have helped thousands of under-privileged children in the Philippines and Mexico. He and Sandy spent the last 10 years dedicated to serving others through this organization.

A memorial mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 25th, at Saint Jude Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Burton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday in the Parish Life Center at Saint Jude Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
