Man Stabbed In Whitfield County; Ex-Girlfriend Sought On Aggravated Assault Charges

A woman is being sought after a stabbing in Whitfield County on Monday

The 911 center received a call of a stabbing on Monday at 5:19 a.m. at 1847 Riverbend Road. Upon arrival, officers found Sidney Lamar Quarles, 57, with several superficial stab wounds to his arms, legs, and chest area. Officers determined Mr. Quarles and his ex-girlfriend, Carmon Patterson, 31, had gotten into an argument at the residence and it turned physical. During the altercation, Ms. Patterson picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed Mr. Quarles several times. 

Mr. Quarles was transported to Hamilton Medical Center. The injuries he received did not appear to be life threatening.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ms. Patterson on a charge of aggravated assault.
