South Pittsburg Picked To Win Region 3 1-A

South Pittsburg's Pirates have been picked to win the Region 3-1A high school football championship in Murphy Fair's Tennessee High School Football magazine.

With head coach Vic Grider back for his second season, the Pirates will be looking for a successful season.

Hogan Holland returns at quarterback after completing 75 of 144 passes for more than 1,200 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.

Also returning is Joseph Lilly, who ran for 1,115 yards in 80 carries last year. He scored 14 touchdowns.
