CHI Memorial Metabolic And Bariatric Care Hosts Free Metabolic Seminars

  • Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Jack F. Rutledge, M.D. and CHI Memorial Metabolic and Bariatric Care will host two free seminars in August on surgical weight loss options. The seminars will be held at CHI Memorial Hospital in the community room on Tuesday, Aug. 9, and at the North River Civic Center on Tuesday, Aug. 16.   Both seminars will begin at 6 p.m.

Obesity can be devastating to a person’s health and self-esteem. This educational seminar is designed to help you better understand metabolic surgery and how it may benefit your health. Topics include: who is a good candidate for the procedure, what to expect during the recovery period, and lifestyle changes needed to foster a successful outcome.

The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) recently granted CHI Memorial accreditation.  This means people in the Chattanooga region have access to the some of the most effective weight loss surgery options along with a highly trained medical staff that supports individuals through their weight loss journey.

CHI Memorial is recognized as an Optum/United Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence and Aetna Bariatric Surgery Institute of Quality program.

Call (423) 495-2501 today to register or for more information. Walk-ins are also welcome. Attendees are asked to arrive at the seminar location at 5:30 p.m.

CHI Memorial Hospital is located at 2525 de Sales Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404.

The North River Civic Center is located at 1009 Executive Drive, Hixson, TN 37343.
