Hamilton Place Offers Extended Shopping Hours During Tax Free Days This Weekend

  • Thursday, July 28, 2016
The State of Tennessee sales tax holiday runs Friday through Sunday and provides exemptions from sales and use tax on most clothing, footwear and school supplies priced under $100 and computers priced at $1500 or less.

“This is a great opportunity for shoppers to take advantage and save even more while they shop for all of their back to school essentials, said Sandra Heymann, regional director of Marketing for Hamilton Place.  “Many stores will have special offers throughout the weekend in addition to the sales tax discount.”

Mall stores will be open extended hours throughout the three day weekend.
Friday and Saturday all stores will be open from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday.  Department store hours may vary.

"The tax free weekend is a great time to stock up on computers, school uniforms, school supplies, and of course the latest and greatest in back to school fashions.  With technology playing such an active role in education, the Tennessee Sales Tax Holiday is the perfect time to stop by Simply Mac or Best Buy Mobile for that laptop, desktop, or tablet," officials said.

"For school uniform needs, visit The Children’s Place, Gymboree, Old Navy and Gap, for great selections and value.   And of course, every student wants to put their best foot forward in the trendiest of back to school fashions.  Check out Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Buckle, Forever 21, Express, Hollister Co., and many more for the best in trendy denim, bright and sparkly accessories, shoes and latest teen fashions, all tax free this weekend."
