Roger McDaniel
Roger Clark McDaniel, 83, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
He was a lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Mr. McDaniel was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and later retired from DuPont after 35 years; a member of Crawfish Springs Masonic Lodge #300, as well as a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis & Shon (Byrd) McDaniel; brother, Bruce McDaniel, and wife, Lois McDaniel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bethany McDaniel, of Lookout Mountain; children, Terri (Wally) Scruggs, of Chickamauga, Jeff (Connie) McDaniel, of Chickamauga, Janice (Jack) Head, of Chattanooga, Sarah Sault, of Dayton, Benjamin Sault, of Chattanooga, Jana (Christopher) Morris, of Kearney, NE.; sister, Sharon Chambers, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Chris, Billy, Andy, David, Judah, Gabriela, Julianna, Joseph, Elizabeth; and great-grandchildren, Sara, Samantha, Christian, and Caleb.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, at Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church at GA-157, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and will lie in state at the church until the service hour. The family requests that flowers be delivered to the church.
