Applications Process Open For Leadership Walker County

  • Friday, July 29, 2016

Applications are now being taken for Leadership Walker County.  This nine month program gives participants a first-hand look at operations of city and county governments, the educational systems, and public safety, as well as local businesses in the agricultural, manufacturing, tourism and nonprofit sectors.

This program gives business professionals a network of 20+ colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and industries throughout the county. Each month will feature a one-day tour during which the class will examine a local issue and discuss their observations as a group.

The Leadership Walker County class kicks off with a bonding retreat Sept. 12 from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Camp New Dawn.

Space is limited to 24 participants.  Application and additional details are at http://www.walkercochamber.com/leadership-walker-county.html. Contact Glenda Jones at 706.375-7702 or info@walkercochamber.com.

The fee for the class is $350 for Chamber members and $400 for non-members. This includes breakfast and lunch during the field trips, as well as transportation to all locations including the State Capitol Building, and a complimentary lunch at the Chamber's Leadership Walker County graduation in May. A limited number of scholarships are also available.
