Thomas Jefferson McCallie passed away peacefully Monday, July 25 at his residence. He was 81.

Tom was born May 1, 1935 to Ernest and Velma McCallie. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who was honorably discharged following his service in the Korean War. Most of his career was spent in car sales. Tom was full of life with a huge personality. He loved to dance and sing karaoke at area senior centers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward, and sister Bunny.

He is survived by daughters Donna McCallie (Bill)  and Cindy Bruce (Jeff); grandchildren Keisha Shoun (Corey) and Nick Bruce; great-granddaughter Lyla Shoun; brothers Jimmy, Jerry and Robert; sister Diane Thomas; several nieces and nephews; and loving companion Ruby Summerville.

A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a contribution to a charity of your choice.
