AAU Boys Basketball: Chattanooga Elite U-13 Advances to National Round of 16

Led by 43 points from Eric Rivers (McCallie Middle School) and 39 point from Treveon Scott (Orchard Knob Middle), the Chattanooga Elite Navy 13-Under won its pool (3-0) and has advanced to the round of 16 in the National AAU D-II 13-Under Boys Basketball Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

Chattanooga defeated Orlando Ballerz (43-36), Class Acts (59-37) and C2C Phenoms (63-48).

Round of 16 – Wed. 1:30 p.m. – Chattanooga faces DC-Playmakers with the winner advancing to Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Rivers' three game totals are 43 points, nine rebounds, two and 14 steals, while Long has 17 points, four assists and nine steals.

Treveon Scott has 39 points, 23 boards, one assists and six steals in the three games, while Traveon Scott has 19 points, 31 rebounds, four assists and six steals.

“Our goal is to be nationally ranked at the end of the tournament and we need to reach the quarterfinals and hopefully the national semis,” said Chattanooga Elite coach Leroy Alexander who is a former Riverside HS player and coach.

“Of course, we want to win the tournament, but to be nationally-ranked would be a great ending to the season.”
