3 Suspects Wanted For Car Break-Ins At Lakeshore Park

  • Friday, August 12, 2016

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying three suspects who used stolen credit cards that were taken in a series of car break-ins at Lakeshore Park in June. The suspects used the stolen cards at locations in Dalton and Calhoun after the theft to rack up hundreds of dollars’ worth of fraudulent purchases.

The break-ins occurred at Lakeshore Park in Dalton on the evening of June 2 while the victims were enjoying the park at youth sporting events or jogging. In one case, the victim’s car was left unlocked but in the other two cases the cars were entered by force. One car had a window broken out and the other had its door lock popped out. Wallets and purses containing credit and bank cards and at least $1,800 in cash were stolen.

Dalton investigators were able to recover surveillance video of stolen cards in the cases being used by a black male and two black females who were together in stores. A witness from one of the stores described the male as being in his 30s, standing approximately 5’8”. One of the women was approximately 5’2” with a thin build and her hair in a ponytail. The second woman was about 5’1”, thin, with her hair in what a witness described as intricate braids.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to contact Detective Brian Shirley at 706 278-9085, dial 9 and enter extension 189.
