Travis Harrison's two run single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Lookouts to a big win over Montgomery.The win moved the Lookouts one game up on the Biscuits for a playoff spot.
Pitcher Kohl Stewart only allowed one run in eight innings. Stewart's dominance gives him his seventh win of the year.
The Lookouts young right hander gave up a run early in the game when Granden Goetzman recorded his 30th RBI of the season.
Stewart found his groove after that, putting up six straight zeros on the board.
Montgomery's starting pitcher Brent Honeywell was also lights out tonight, only surrendering four hits in six innings while fanning five batters.
The Lookouts offense was stagnant until the bottom of the eighth inning when Engelb Vielma kicked things off with a walk. Zack Granite followed that up with a single and Niko Goodrum drew an intentional walk to load the bases for Harrison who once again delivered in the clutch with a two-run single.
Raul Fernandez entered the game in the top of the ningth and closed out the game for his second game of the year.
Zach Granite led the way. The leadoff man went 3-for-4 and is now hitting .299.
