Katherine Swaggerty
Katherine Swaggerty, 94, of Ooltewah, died on Monday, August 22, 2016.
She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Birchwood, Tennessee to the late Beecher and Karmna Holland.
She was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Beecher Holland, Dennis Curtis, Fred Swaggerty, Jr., and Bruce Curtis; three sisters, Virginia Gray, Beatrice Agar, and Christine Crane.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne (Dale) Johns of Ooltewah; sister, Julia Davis of Birchwood; 11 grandchildren, Connie (Owen) Early of McDonald, Ricky (Lisa) Holland of Ringgold, Jerry (Kim) Holland of McDonald, Rhonda Wahl of Arkansas, Buster Curtis of Ooltewah, Cissy Joseph of Arkansas, David (Rebecca) Denton of Harrison, Chris Denton of Ooltewah, Bree Curtis of Cleveland, Zac (Becky) Johns of Chattanooga, and Charity (Billy) Cross of Ringgold; her great-grandchildren, Christy, Misty, Mandi, Brandi, Haylie, Ginger, Trey, Hailey, Logan, Alek and several other great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 26, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. with Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating.
Interment will be at Ooltewah Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m.
