James “Jimmy” Hastings, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rebecca and Andy Sells; father, Melvin Edward Hastings, Sr.; and a brother, Edward Hastings.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Sue Hasting; children, Jennifer and Jon Henning and Joie and Jeff Wieland; grandchildren, Shea, Jonathan, Hayden, Dayna, Amaja, Jordyn, Jonathan and Jada-Faith; brothers and sisters, Billy Hastings, Terry and Mary Hastings, Patricia and Kay Quarles, Linda Dixon, Dianne Hicks, Netta and Jerry Smith, Steve Hastings, Melvin Hastings, and Marget Salisberry; three step-brothers, Billy, Tommy and Steve Sells; two step-sisters, Connie Alder and Nancy Steele; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. CDT, Thursday, Aug. 25.
Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Tate Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
