The city of Cleveland's financial staff has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
It is the 28th consecutive year the city has received this national recognition from the association.
"It shows that our folks are good stewards of the public's funds," said Mayor Tom Rowland.
According to the association "the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in government accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management."
The latest Certificate of Achievement is for the comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year which ended June 30, 2015.
