Local Company Wins National Bid To Manage Sumner County And School Systems Clinics

  • Friday, August 26, 2016

One to One Health will begin managing on site medical and healthcare services for 9,500 employees and dependents in Sumner County on Jan. 1, 2017.

The Sumner County Insurance Trust and the Sumner County Schools Insurance Trust selected the Chattanooga-based company, One To One Health, to manage the county’s six on-site health clinics, provide health coaching to employees with chronic conditions, and administer the employee health and wellness programs.

“Physicians lead all of our service lines at One to One, and our number one goal is helping people receive the best, most appropriate care,” said Dr. Keith Helton, CEO. “We’re thrilled to work with both Sumner County and their school system to bring the best service and health care to their employees.”

By switching to One to One, Sumner County was able to offer additional employee benefits, including added after-hours availability at the employee clinic, accepting walk-ins and expanding the wellness programs.

“Our families are excited about our new partnership with One to One Health, especially the extended hours,” said Del Phillips, director of schools. “This allows us to add value to our employees and offer them access to a world-class team of physicians and facilities.”

One to One Health will also manage health-coaching services to assist employees in meeting health and wellness goals. Medical professionals will work directly with employees to offer personalized support, education, and encouragement on goals such as reducing blood pressure, consistently taking medication and quitting smoking.

“Our coaches work one-on-one with employees to develop a wellness plan that works for their unique needs,” said lead care coordinator, Joy Lannae, RN. “Employees in the program always work with the same health coach. Building that relationship really makes our program unique. Having a designated health coach is like having a nurse in the family; you call them up when you need some advice or encouragement, and they help you sort out all the information, set health priorities and meet your goals.”
