William Henry "Bill" Weber, 70, of Soddy Daisy, died on Aug. 15, 2016. 

Bill was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, colleague and friend. 

He had a long, successful career in the power industry. He worked for Electric Power Research Institute for 37 years, most recently as senior technical advisor. He was widely known and respected at TVA and Southern Company. 

Bill was known for bringing an abundance of passion and enthusiasm to his work and many interests. 

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Edna Mae Weber; two sons, Erik Weber and Scott Weber; a granddaughter, Stephanie Weber; two sisters, Barbara Turner and Marie DiMatteo; his father's widow, Miriam Weber; and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379.
