The Dalton State women’s soccer team did it again. The Lady Roadrunners found themselves down by 2-0 at halftime against Johnson & Wales University (Fl.)
“After making some adjustments during the break, I could tell the girls were fired up and hungry and I had a great feeling we would win the game,” said DS Coach Kerem Daser. “I guess you can call my ladies the comeback Roadrunners. This is year 22 for me as a coach and this was one of the best.”
Junior Rosie Lindo and Freshman Adriana Romera “scored four big time goals in the comeback win”. Lindo, a native of Jacksonville, had two assists to be a part of all four goals.
“These Roadrunners are relentless in our second come from behind win in two days,” said Daser. “Johnson & Wales is a very strong Sun Conference team and I am so proud of the effort, but we need to be more resistant and play 90 hard minutes.”
Friends and family of Dalton State players from Florida showed a lot of enthusiasm. “Our Florida Roadrunner Rowdies were big energy for us and we thank them for the support,” the coach added.
The women have Sunday off before playing Trinity Baptist College on Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.
