Hixson and Boyd-Buchanan squared off in a non-district volleyball match at Hixson and the Lady Wildcats were able to win in three straight, claiming the victory by scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 31-29.
Dakota Rawiszer had 13 kills and three blocks whiloe Sam Dove had 27 assists and 10 digs. Marly Fitzpatrick only had one kill, but chipped in with 18 digs as Hixson improved to 6-5 overall.
The Lady Wildcats return to action on Wednesday with an away match at Soddy Daisy.
Meanwhile, the Signal Mountain Lady Eagles remained unbeaten after five matches in District 7-AA by sweeping Bledsoe County Monday evening. Signal Mountain is now 11-3 overall
Set scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-7.
The Lady Eagles were especially effective from the service line as seven players combined for 20 aces, including Kate Barry with six and Nicole Terfloth with five.
Aubrie Johnson finished with nine kills and five blocks while Maia Rackel had eight kills and 10 digs. Hallie Hunt, Sidney Lapinski and Barry all finished with eight assists.
Signal Mountain returns to action on Wednesday with a non-district match at Red Bank.
Sale Creek and Soddy Daisy also won matches Monday with Sale Creek improving to 12-1 with the 3-0 sweep over Whitwell, the Lady Panthers winning by scores of 25-6, 25-8 and 25-11.
Ariana Smith had 11 kills and 12 digs while Morgan Weatherford had 19 digs and Bailey Nelson 16 assists in addition to 10 aces.
The CCS Lady Chargers came out on the short end of a 3-1 match at Soddy Daisy as the Lady Trojans prevailed by scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-12.
A.J. Johnson had a dozen kills for CCS while Cassie Curry had 13 digs and Rachel Kay 18 assists.
CCS returns to action with a district match at Bledsoe County on Tuesday while Sale Creek will be at home again on Tuesday to host Lookout Valley.
