The House Of Frankenstein Comes To The Colonnade Oct. 22 And 29

  • Tuesday, August 30, 2016

Carpe Risus will present The House of Frankenstein, written by Martin Downing, directed by John Lee and produced in conjunction with Samuel French, Inc., at the Catoosa County Colonnade Oct. 22 and 29.

Review for The House of Frankenstein:

The House of Frankenstein is a comedy about Baron Victor von Frankenstein who is bored with his attempts to give life to the lifeless so he has turned his attention to curing the supposedly incurable. From his home in the Carpathian Mountains, he and his long-suffering wife Elisabeth, the unsavoury hunchback Ygor, the Valkyrian Frau Lurker and the Monster play host to various mysterious and menacing denizens of the night (invited or otherwise) who visit the Baron to beg him to rid them of their vices. But this challenge, although a welcome diversion for the headstrong young scientist, proves to be no picnic...more of a highly entertaining wisecracking comedy-horror.

The performance schedule is as follows: Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 and 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Reserved seat tickets go on sale Sept. 6 at the Colonnade Theatre Box Office at 264 Catoosa Cir.  They can also be purchased by phone by calling 706.935-9000 or online at colonadecenter.org.  Tickets are $8, $10 or $12 depending on seating location.
