Sarah Adell Eaton, 81, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in a local hospital.

She was a native of Chattanooga and was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. H. Sands and mother, Dorothy Sands Poe.

Sarah retired from Erlanger Hospital where she worked in the Outpatient Clinic.

She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Winston “Lamar” Eaton, of Chattanooga, two sons, Robert L. Eaton, of Winston Salem, NC, Derrick L. (Janet) Eaton, of Chattanooga, two grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Sisk, Cooper L. Eaton, sister, Louise Goins, of Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silverdale Baptist Church, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
