Thelma "Jean" Bryant
Thelma G. “Jean” Bryant, 88, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
She was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Dekalb County, Al., to the late Quillian Coy and Alice Mae Gilley. She was a member of the Ministry Center in Hixson. She was an excellent bowler, bowling in several coffee leagues in the Hixson area.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edgar Bryant; daughter, Vicki Dennison; sisters, Wilma Scarboro and Betty Benefield; granddaughters, Whitney Hemphill, Megan Tompkins, and Claire Ruth; three great grandchildren, Lily Hemphill, Locke Hemphill, and Levi Hemphill.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Milligan officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
