Trust for Public Land (TPL) and The City of Chattanooga are starting a new community plan for The Sterchi Farm Trailhead of the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway. The trailhead is the northern destination (off of Dodson Avenue) of the Glass Street Connector project.  The intent of this effort is to plan for better community access to this protected open space through a series of on-site meetings with residents in the East Chattanooga area. TPL, Public Art Chattanooga, and the City Parks Division will work to reconstruct the old dairy barn on site into a functioning park amenity. The first meeting will be held Tuesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. at the Sterchi Farm Trailhead 2998, Harrison Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37406. TPL will be providing barbecue for the first 75 people that come out to participate. If you are unable to attend the meeting or would like more information on the picnic-please contact Andrea Hamilton the Chattanooga Trust for Public Land Office Manager at (423) 265-5229 or by email. Come out, bring a chair and your appetite. We look forward to involving you in process. Join us for a great evening on South Chickamauga Creek!
