Alfred Coppage, 35, Shot In The Hand Late Saturday Night

Alfred Coppage, 35, was shot in the hand late Saturday night.

Officers said he said it happened at 7200 Shallowford Road.

Coppage reported the shooting at a location in the 7200 block of Shallowford Road.

He indicated that the shooting did not occur at the reporting location and did not know where he was when he was shot.

Coppage is unfamiliar with the Chattanooga area and was unable to provide any landmarks that would assist police with identifying the incident location.

The victim was cooperative with the investigation.

It was a non-life threatening injury.

Coppage was transported to a local hospital.

At this time no credible suspect information has been provided to investigators.

The Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continues to follow all leads.
