Mount Canaan Baptist Begins Recharge Thursdays: A New Middle Of The Week Worship Service

  • Tuesday, September 13, 2016

The Mount Canaan Baptist Church will launch a new middle of the week service called Recharge Thursdays, beginning Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

“We believe this exciting middle of the week worship experience will allow the people of God to recharge their spiritual battery after exhausting spiritual tanks during the week” Senior Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. said. “After Sunday worship, we can recharge on Thursdays which will allow us to energize, invigorate, renew and revive to continue thriving in our walk with Christ.” Pastor Jordan also noted that this is not a mid-week bible study, but rather the Sunday experience on a Thursday.

"Recharge means to bring back to life or re-energize your life; i.e., regain your energy and strength.  Life continuously bombards us with draining challenges in the form of hurt, pain, discouragement, and distractions. Recharge Thursdays will allow us to re-energize for the abundant living that Christ desires for us.  Recharge Thursdays becomes a power source to enable us to remain strong throughout the week," officials said.

For the inaugural Thursday, Minister Kevin Lemons and Higher Calling Ministries will be the musical guest for praise and worship. "Considered to have one of the most dynamic choirs known as Higher Calling, Lemons brings a uniquely yet powerful sound that captures the energy, flare and spirit in song and performance according to Amazon.com," officials said. The ministry has been nationally-televised with appearances on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, Gospel Music Channel's The Kitchen Sink, and the Gospel Superfest.

Mount Canaan announces that the services will be a high energy, high impact experience filled with praise, worship, and relevant word through a series of messages that speak to the challenges of everyday living. Recharge Thursdays will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end approximately at 7:45 p.m. so that families will have time to get home and prepare for the next day, officials said.

Recharge Thursdays will be held at the Mount Canaan Baptist Church’s main campus located at 4801 Hwy. 58. The entire community is invited to attend.
