Trish Ferrell Wileman with Butch Ross and guitarist Alan Shikoh will play at Charles and Myrtle's Coffeehouse Friday at 8 p.m. The coffeehouse is inside Christ Unity Church at 105 McBrien Road.  There is a $10 suggested donation at the door.

Trish Ferrell Wileman has played leading roles in theater, opera, oratorio, and musical theater performances from St. Pete, Fla. to Washington, DC. Favorite roles include Papagena in The Magic Flute, Marian in The Music Man, Hodel in Fiddler On The Roof, Guinevere in Camelot, and concert performances of Sharon in Fininan’s Rainbow and Comfort O’Connell in No Strings.

Her directing credits include Arsenic And Old Lace, Tevya & His Daughters, The Music Man, a five-year stint as the director of Destiny in Dayton, and Artisti Affamati’s debut opera Shanewis as well as the film version of Barber’s A Hand of Bridge.

Trish is the director of Jim Pfitzer’s one-man show, Aldo Leopold: A Standard of Change, currently on tour across the U.S. She directed Peggy Douglas’ original play Twisted Roots and is currently working with Douglas on An Afternoon With Maybelle Carter.

She holds a MA in Music/Choral Conducting from UTC, and co-teaches The Art of the Singer/Songwriter workshop with Butch Ross. This summer she debuted at Kentucky Music Week in Bardstown, and her workshop Vocal Confidence helps shy singers find tools for more secure singing.  She has a heart for performers and finds her passion in encouraging individuals to discover, cultivate, and enjoy the gift of their own voice, in singing and acting.

She recently released her first EP, Out of The Blue, collaborating with Butch Ross and guitarist Alan Shikoh.

Spook Handy will  present "Remembering Pete Seeger" at Charles and Myrtle's Coffeehouse on Saturday at 8 p.m.  There is a $10 suggested donation at the door.

Spook Handy performed alongside Pete Seeger at festivals and concerts over 50 times from 2003–2013. He learned firsthand many of Pete’s songs and the stories behind them. Now, Spook is on a three year “Remembering Pete Seeger” World Tour bringing these songs and stories and Pete’s message to all 50 U.S states, all 10 Canadian provinces, and many other countries as well as all 21 New Jersey counties. He can be heard at theaters, arts centers, libraries, universities, churches and anywhere else people gather to keep alive the tradition Pete made famous of sharing songs as a tool to build and nurture community.
